Biography

2013-2014: As a junior, Oceguera started every game she played in this season… played 15 games before a torn ACL kept her from competing in the second half of the season… finished the season shooting 36% from the field and averaging 7.7 points per game… had 47 assists (with just 37 turnovers), 27 steals and 47 rebounds (3.1 rebounds per game)… had a season high 19 points against the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs on January 4, 2014.

2012-2013: As a sophomore, Oceguera led the team in minutes… played 779 minutes in 24 games (32.5 minutes per game)… led the team in field goal percentage at 39%... led in steals with 61 for the season… averaged 9.9 points per game in the overall season and 10.5 points per game in conference play… Oceguera’s most memorable game highs came against the Cal Maritime Keelhaulers where she scored 25 points in a playoff game on February 20, 2013 and recorded 7 steals on February 2, 2013…Oceguera was recognized as a member of the All-California Pacific Conference Second Team.

High School: Attended Salesian High School in Richmond, California… was on the Girls Varsity Basketball team where she received awards such as Honorable Mention All-League, 2nd Team All-League and 3 team MVPs as well as 1 Co-MVP award.

Personal: ‘Moses’ or ‘Mo’, as everyone calls her, is an undeclared major… lists her favorite movie as Love and Basketball and her favorite food as shrimp… her goals as an athlete are to improve her basketball ability, specifically her shooting, and to become a leader on and off the court… lists her favorite professional team as the Lakers and her favorite athlete as Kobe Bryant.
