Bobcat Field

UC Merced's Bobcat Field is located on campus next to Scholars Lot and across from The Summits adding extra glamour to the west side of campus. Bobcat Field opened in August of 2018 as part of the Merced 2020 Project and is one of the NAIA's finest grass facilities on the West Coast. With lights for night competition, scenic views of campus, ample parking among many other things, Bobcat Field is a perfect place to be during soccer season for our student athletes and fans alike. Fans can choose to sit in the stadium bleachers or grab a blanket and lawn chairs in order to get closer to the action and utilize the lawn seating. A well-lit and good-sized scoreboard allows fans to keep up with live stats during the match. The first ever match was a 1-0 UC Merced men's soccer win over #22 Westmont College on August 22, 2018. Artemio Contreras scored the first ever goal on Bobcat Field in the seventh minute against Westmont. Bobcat Field hosted the 2019 & 2021 California Pacific Conference Men's Soccer Championships and UC Merced won the title the latter year. Prior to finding the best seat in the house to take in a game, you will find a concessions and merchandising area on the southwest side of the pitch.
