The UC Merced Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was established in January of 2013 during the second year of participation in intercollegiate athletics.

The mission of the University of California, Merced Student Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the student athlete experience by developing leadership skills, protecting student athletes’ well-being, acting as a liaison between student athletes and administration, and fostering a sense of community.
