Student Employment:

UC Merced Athletics hires students each semester to be a part of the team and work in one of the most exciting industries around town. These positions offer flexible schedules, training and opportunities for advancement. Positions include graphic designers, statisticians, athletic training student assistants, game operations, broadcasting & social media assistants, office assistants, videographers, student athlete learning assistants and many more.

UC Merced Athletics loves to recognize its students whether its through promotional items, t-shirts or selecting an individual as the Employee of the Month or Employee of the Year. For the 2019-20 school year, student graphic designer Dustin De Vera was named the Student Employee of the Year as he was key in creating the UC Merced Athletics brand and identity throughout the year and created countless graphics for requests that included but were not limited to game day's, special events, schedule posters, accolades and breaking news. De Vera also won three awards from national organizations this past year for his work on schedule posters and game day graphics. Past student graphic designers Abbie Leigh-Meneses, Maggie Garcia and Kevin Cruz, as well as current designer Olanasaze Ojo have also won national awards.
