Located in the Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center, Hostetler Court has been the home of the UC Merced volleyball and basketball teams since intercollegiate athletics was founded in 2011. The 600 seat facility truly provides home court advantage to the Bobcats! Fans enjoy being right on top of the action in this always energized venue and a general admission seating arrangement design gives every fan an excellent vantage point. The first ever athletics event to take place was a 3-1 win for UC Merced women's volleyball over Pacific Union College on a soldout Thursday night (September 22, 2011).This court was also home to the inaugural Golden State Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Championships in 2019, as well as the 2021 California Pacific Conference Men's and Women's Volleyball Championships in 2021. Hostetler Court can also be used as a multi-purpose facility for athletic banquets, keynote speakers, grad fairs as well as the School of Engineering's marquee event, Innovate to Grow. The northwest corner of the court has a ticketing area and the southwest corner holds merchandise and concession areas. Public restrooms are available right outside the southwest doors.
