MERCED, Calif. – University of California, Merced women's volleyball outside hitter Sera Riley was named to the NAIA All-America Third Team this morning, as announced by the national office.

Riley's honor is the highest in program history. Overall, she is the third All-American under head coach Ai Prachumsri. Dominique Andrews (2018 & 2019) and Jaysonna Johnson (2019) earned honorable mention All-America honors previously

Riley adds this accolade to an incredible junior year that also saw her selected as the California Pacific Conference Player of the Year.

Riley finished the season as one of just two players in the nation with at least 3.6 kills per set, a .243 hitting percentage, 3.1 digs per set, and 0.40 service aces per set (Grace Colburn/TMU). Riley tallied 332 total kills overall, the fourth most by any Bobcat in a single-season and the most since 2019. Her 3.65 K/S rank second in program history. The junior also added 36 service aces and 0.21 blocks per set.

The Yorba Linda, Calif., native totaled 19 double figure kill matches and had 12 double-double's, including three in which she recorded 20+ digs. She had five consecutive double-double's from October 4-18 and also had back-to-back double-double's in the Bobcats Cal Pac Championship run.

Riley's season-high's included 17 kills (2X), a .636 hitting percentage (8/1/11), 24 digs, five service aces, and four blocks.

She led UC Merced to its first ever Cal Pac Regular Season Championship and its first Cal Pac Tournament Championship since 2020. The Bobcats were the first Cal Pac Team to sweep the championships since 2019. The Bobcats finished the season 20-8 overall and 14-1 in Cal Pac play.

Riley heads into her senior year ranked fifth in program history with 76 career service aces and sixth with 654 career kills.
