MERCED, Calif. – The University of California, Merced women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against Cal Poly Humboldt on Friday afternoon at Bobcat Field.
The Bobcats draw puts their record at 6-6-4 overall and 3-5-1 in CCAA play.
Alicia Lepe recorded her CCAA leading ninth shutout of the season and made four saves, including a diving save off a rebound in the 79th minute. With her shutout, Lepe is now tied with Jadyn Gong for second in program history with 19 career shutouts.
The Bobcats were outshot 10-6, 4-2 on frame.
Trinidad Quiroz took three shots for the Bobcats. Quiroz missed a penalty kick high in the 72nd minute and then had a ground ball shot from the top of the box saved by the diving Lumberjacks keeper in the 88th minute. Quiroz missed a shot over the top in the first half.
Sonya Gregoris, Elisa Garcia, and Jariah Indalecio took a shot each. Gregoris' was on frame but saved off a hop.
UC Merced won the corner kick battle 3-1.
Nine of the 17 fouls whistled in the match were against the Bobcats.
Both coaching staffs and head coaches received a yellow card. Two Lumberjack players were also issued a yellow card.
Hannah DeLay, Preeya Singh, and Macy Max played all 90 minutes for the Bobcats
Alexa Munoz made her collegiate debut.
