Men's Soccer Falls to No. 3 Stanislaus State in Season Finale

TURLOCK, Calif. – The University of California, Merced men's soccer team ended its 2025 season with a 4-0 loss to third-ranked Stanislaus State on Thursday afternoon at Warrior Stadium.

The Bobcats (3-10-3, 2-7-1) contained the league's top offense in the first half but were unable to keep the Warriors off the scoreboard after halftime.

Stanislaus State scored its first goal in the 47th minute as Ian Reis tapped home a corner kick.

The Warriors doubled its advantage in the 69th minute and added a third goal shortly after.

Stanislaus State finished its scoring in the 84th minute. Four different Warriors made up the Stan State's scoring. Emmanuel Duran led the Warriors with three points with a goal and an assist.

UC Merced recorded nine shots in its attempt to get on the board. Christian Khanishian put two shots on frame, while Jake Perkins and Omar Garcia had one each.

Khanishian played the full 90 minutes along with Braxton Fleming and Christian Gallo. Abel Calvillo logged the full 90 between the posts and was credited with three saves.

The Bobcats were outshot 17-9 but won the corner kick battle 5-3.

Thursday marked the first countable contest between UC Merced and Stanislaus State. The two schools are separated by just 31 miles.

UC Merced's first season in the CCAA and NCAA Division II saw the Bobcats beat 22nd-ranked Western Oregon, Chico State, and Cal Poly Humboldt.
