MERCED, Calif. – University of California, Merced men's basketball's Cyprus Graham and Pawllos Habtom have been named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
This is the Bobcats fourth consecutive season with multiple selections. Graham and Habtom earn Academic All-District for the first time.
Graham played in all 26 games this year and finished top five on the team in scoring, field goal percentage, rebounding, assists, and steals. He averaged 6.6 points per game on a .485 field goal percentage and scored in double figures eight times. The redshirt sophomore guard recorded a career-high 20 points and five steals in a win over Cal State LA, the only CCAA player with a 20-point/5-steal game this season. Graham averaged 3.6 RPG in 20 minutes per game off the bench and had 36 total assists and 23 steals. He made three starts. The Indio, Calif., native, who made the Dean's List in the fall, is majoring in management and business economics.
Habtom started 23 of the Bobcats 26 games this year and became just the sixth guard in program history to average more than ten points and five rebounds per game. He finished fourth on the team with 10.3 PPG and second with 5.4 RPG. The senior also ranked second on the Bobcats with 46 assists, 30 steals, and 88 made free throws. Habtom turned in three 20-point games and scored in double figures 12 times, including registering a double-double at Cal Poly Pomona. Also of note, he had three or more assists in each of his 20-point outings. Habtom averaged 28.7 minutes per game. He will be graduating with a degree in management and business economics.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors in the sport of men's basketball, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have competed in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of the team's games.
