MERCED, Calif. – University of California, Merced women's basketball's Mariah Flores, Sarina Nagra, and Paloma Ramirez have been named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Ramirez earns Academic All-District for a program-record third consecutive year. This is the second straight Academic All-District award for Nagra, while Flores garners the distinction in her first eligible year. This is the Bobcats fourth consecutive season with multiple selections.
Flores played in all 29 games this year and finished top five on the team with 7.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. She tallied ten double-figure scoring games, including a career-high tying 23-point game at Cal State LA and her first career double-double in a home win over Cal State Dominguez Hills. The sophomore ranked third on the team with 32 three-pointers, fourth with 49 made free throws, and second with an .831 free throw percentage. Flores currently owns the program's all-time record with an .837 career free throw percentage. She earned 12 starts this year. Flores is majoring in public health.
Nagra led the Bobcats and ranked fourth in the CCAA with 15.1 points per game, marking the highest total by any Bobcat guard since 2019-20. She tallied eight 20+ point outings and scored in double figures 20 times in her 26 games played, with a season-high 28 points in a win at Cal State San Marcos. Nagra, a CCAA Honorable Mention, was stellar from beyond the arc with 62 three-point field goals, the second most in the CCAA this year and the second most in program history. She played a team-high 33.6 minutes per game and finished fourth on the team with 31 steals. Nagra started 24 of the 26 games she played in. The junior, who made the Dean's List in the fall, is majoring in political science.
Ramirez, who will earn her bachelor's degree this May in management and business economics, was one of just three players in the CCAA this year to average at least 10.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. She led the Bobcats with 49 steals, finished second with 44 three-pointers and 5.7 RPG, and third with 10.5 PPG. Ramirez played in all 29 games, starting 28 of them. She had 15 double figure scoring games, three 20-point games, and two double-double's. Ramirez graduates from UC Merced ranked second in program history with 104 career games played, sixth with 501 rebounds, ninth with 847 points, and tenth with 98 steals. The Watsonville, Calif., native made the Dean's List in the fall.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors in the sport of women's basketball, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have competed in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or started in at least 66 percent of the team's games.
