Biography
2013: As a sophomore, Rios ran in eight meets this year and led the Women’s Cross Country team this season having the best time amongst her teammates in each event that she participated in… season best in the 5k came at the California Pacific Championships on November 4, 2013 where she finished with a time of 19:43, which was good for 4th place at the meet… best 6k came at the UC Davis Doc Adams Invitational on November 9, 2013 where she ran a 23:47… competed in the NAIA National Championships were she ran the 5k with the final time of 20:35… was honored the California Pacific Runner of the Month for the month of September 2013… received All-California Pacific Conference First Team honors.
2012: As a freshman, Rios ran in all six of the meets on the season including a seventh, at the NAIA Nationals… averaged a 5k-finish time of 20:33 with an average pace of 6:38 per mile… best time on the season was at the Santa Clara Broncos Invitational on October 13, 2012 where she finished with a time of 19:40… finished with a 6k time of 27:46 at the Mills College Invitational on September 15, 2012… at the NAIA Cross Country Championship Rios finished 263rd with a time of 21:08 seconds… received All-California Pacific Conference First Team honors as a freshman.

High School: Attended Madera South High School in Madera, California…was a four-time league champion and a two time state qualifier…was honored Most Valuable Athlete at Madera South.
Personal: Rios says that her main goal is to reach the NAIA Nationals every year… lists her favorite professional sports team as the St. Louis Rams and her favorite athlete as Steve Prefontaine… lists her favorite food as strawberries, favorite movie as Forrest Gump and favorite authors as Suzanne Collins and Stephenie Meyer.
