2023: Recorded eight goals in her freshman season…Also had 15 steals and four assists…Was the Bobcats primary sprinter…Scored first career goal against Saint Mary’s club team to help the Bobcats earn their first win of their inaugural season (2/12)…Also scored against Cal Maritime (2/25)…Had two goals against UC Santa Cruz’s club team (2/26)…Had two steals against Cal Maritime in the NAIA Finals Round Robin stage (3/31)…Recorded her first career hat trick and had a career-high four steals in the NAIA Finals Third Place game against Cal Maritime (4/2).

Personal: Nicknamed Cruz...Has one sibling...Favorite food is her abuela's albondigas...Favorite athlete is Michael Phelps...Favorite musician is Vampire Weekend and favorite movie is Kiki's Flying Delivery Service...Also enjoys gardening, reading, chrochet, and running...Is part of the crochet club on campus...Lists her abuela as her biggest influence because she struggled but still worked hard to give her family the best shot possible. Cruz also has a lot of respect for her abuela's determiniation, kindness in the face of hate and the love that she shows everyone...Happiest she has been while playing is scoring three goals in a game as a freshman, it gave her confidence that she can do anything if she sticks with it and tries her best.
