MERCED, Calif. – University of California, Merced men's volleyball student-athletes Toby Miller, Jozef Lingenfelter, Max Niederberger, and Donovan Guglielmana were named to the 2026 MPSF All-Academic Team, the league announced on Wednesday morning.
Miller earns his program-record fourth conference academic distinction. He was a 3X California Pacific Conference All-Academic Team member before landing on the MPSF All-Academic Team in his final year of eligibility. The conference academic nod is the third for Lingenfelter.
Miller and Lingenfelter are both completing UC Merced's Teacher Preparation program. Miller earned his bachelor's degree in psychology in the spring of 2025, while Lingenfelter graduated with a degree in management and business economics last spring.
Niederberger graduated this spring with a degree in mechanical engineering. Guglielmana is a rising junior working towards his mechanical engineering degree.
The MPSF All-Academic Team is based on the following criteria:
- 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
- Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
- Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.
- Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the respective sport.
